Eye Movement May Be Able To Heal Our Traumas

EMDR is fast becoming the miracle psychological treatment of the 21st century. Referred to as talk therapy on speed it originated back in the 1980’s by American Psychologist Francine Shapiro when one day while walking in the park she realized that eye movements appeared to decrease the negative emotions associated with her own distressing memories. She assumed that eye movements had a desensitizing effect, and when she experimented with this she found that others also had the same response to eye movements.

This Ted Talk by Trisha Walsh ‘Eye Movement May Be Able To Heal Our Traumas’ simplified why and how it can work for you.
