Each month we take a look at some of the tech stuff out there in the mental health space. I came across chatbots a couple of months back when I was researching various apps that claim to support wellbeing. I was immediately allergic. The notion of telling my deepest darkest secrets to an internet bot gave me shivers. But when I heard that Wysa was created by two hotshots with more accolades than you can shake a stick at I was intrigued. It has been featured in Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, The Sunday Times, BBC and more and it’s safe to say it’s not going anywhere.
